My interest in nutrition began during my first anatomy and physiology class when studying to become a nurse. I was captivated by the intricate, harmonious processes that keep our bodies functioning. I got curious about how food affected my body. That curiosity was the start of my personal health journey and ultimately led me to discover my passion in nutrition and wellness.
I’ve faced a number of health challenges in the past – depression, burn out, weight gain, binge eating, debilitating anxiety and fatigue, painful bloating, sudden skin issues, frequently sick, mood swings, cravings, and a poor body image. For many years my baseline was discomfort. Overtime, while studying at the Institute of Holistic Health I was FINALLY able to see how all my symptoms were connected. These health struggles are now managed—or gone entirely. Now, I aim to help others get out of their discomfort and into balance (without the time, frustration and missteps it took me)!
In my approach to nutrition coaching, I take a holistic approach that goes beyond food. I consider your lifestyle, environment, mental and emotional well-being. I will leave you feeling empowered, full of energy, and confident because of the changes YOU have made.
